Experience at Gruene Harley Davidson
My experience with Jay was outstanding. The personnel in parts have always been very helpful and my experience with Bill in the motorcycle safety course was tremendous. I have to say, I was disappointed in the service folks. I bought a 2006 Ultra Classic in July. The bike was supposed to have a full service. After I put approximately 1100 miles on the bike, I was hearing what sounded to me like a bearing and the oil pressure was droppingto around10 psi when I pulled up to a light or stop sign. I stopped by and asked them to check it out. Nothing noted. About a week later, I pulled into an independent shop because the noise was worse. The oil pressure was awful and the trap door bearings were worn. I was there when they drained the transmission and I'm not sure the transmission oil had ever been serviced. It was thick, black and had visible metal flakes. I bought the bike as-is so it's on me. Not complaining about the needed maintenance, I've been a maintenance guy most of my life on everything from bikes to jet engines and I know you can't catch everything, but when they say the bike received a full service it should be the case. Overall my experience with Gruene Harley Davidson has been excellent, but I don't think I will be using the service department. Jay, the sales staff up front, and parts have all been exceptional.
